ONE of the 20th century’s most iconic photos is of The Beatles on the zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios. One that’s less well-known but perhaps more precious to Paul and Linda McCartney’s children is of Linda leading the family’s pony, Jet, over the same crossing. When Mary McCartney came across the picture, it sparked happy memories; it also inspired the photographer to make her first documentary. Mary’s love letter to the world’s first purposebuilt recording studios hears from the likes of Elton John, Noel and Liam Gallagher and George Lucas.
