OutOfTheMouths OfBabes
LITTLe Florence Amelia, aged four, was in the supermarket with her grandad Ralph, my brother. he was explaining to her how the hand-held scanner worked: items are scanned as they go into the trolley so he’d know how much to pay. After a while, she decided to take off her coat, roll it up and put it into the trolley.
She did so with the instruction: ‘You don’t have to scan that, Grampy, because it’s already mine!’
