Failing to deliver
COLUMNIST Dominic Lawson is not the only one to suffer dreadful service by courier firm evri.
On December 14, I sent four parcels to my family in Chingford, essex, using the evri next- day delivery service. The packages arrived in a depot on December 18 and as far as I know are still there.
It’s not just the monetary value of the loss, but the emotional impact on my disappointed grandchildren.
The time and care I spent choosing and wrapping presents, making stockings and decorations are beyond price. What made it worse was that evri customer service was closed for the holidays. CHRISTINE MUSGRAVE,
Yeovil, Somerset. I PAID £2 for a registered next-day delivery on December 6. It was delivered on December 30. I predict that soon Christmas cards will only be seen in museums.
BOB TERRY, Thanet, Kent. A CARD posted on December 12 arrived on January 4. Mind you, it had to travel all of 15 miles! GORDON MORRIS, Southwick, Wilts.
