SAINTS STRIKE £7m DEAL FOR CROATIA’S ORSIC

SOUTHAMPTON are pushing through a £7million deal for Mislav Orsic from Dinamo Zagreb. The deal hit a snag this week over the fee but the Premier League’s bottom club increased their offer and the Croatia winger, 30, began his medical yesterday. Southampton are also exploring a move for EVERTON defender Michael Keane, 29, but the Goodison club will not loan to a rival. They would consider a permanent sale to boost transfer funds.

■ ASTON VILLA are interested in Las Palmas’ highly rated attacking midfielder Alberto Moleiro. The 19-year-old has been tracked by Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid.

■ PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are monitoring Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise. The 21-year-old has been touted for an England call-up but was capped by France at Under 21 level in November and is a fluent French speaker. Palace keeper Jack Butland, 29, had a medical yesterday ahead of joining Manchester United on a sixmonth loan. QPR have asked about taking Palace winger Malcolm Ebiowei on loan.

■ LEICESTER CITY have made an enquiry over Lorient winger Dango Ouattara. The 20-year-old Burkina Faso international has impressed scouts this season.

■ JOSH BOWLER is returning to BLACKPOOL on loan from Nottingham Forest after his loan spell at Olympiacos was cut short. Former Everton striker Salomon Rondon, 33, is a target for Championship side WATFORD. BURNLEY defender Kevin Long, 32, has left to join Birmingham City.

■ PRESTON NORTH END want Everton forward Tom Cannon on loan. IPSWICH want Toffees striker Nathan Broadhead.

■ BAYERN MUNICH have signed Daley Blind on a six-month contract after the 33-year-old left Ajax.
