Out of time

I WEAr a 64-year- old rolex, which was a retirement gift to my wife’s grandfather.

It keeps excellent time, is understated and plain.

I’d like to leave it to my son but, like so many young people, he doesn’t wear a watch. If he wants to know the time, he just looks at his smartphone.

however, my watch will be going long after his phone dies.
