SO, WHO’S THE NEW WONDERKID?

■ PERKINS was born in Waltham Forest, London, and came through the Leyton Orient youth academy before joining West Ham as a 14-year-old in 2019. He made his professional debut last season as a late substitute away to Rapid Vienna in the Europa League.

■ PERKINS’ Premier League debut came almost exactly a year ago in a 3-2 home defeat by Leeds, who he then joined in July on a three-year deal after his Hammers contract expired.

■ HE HAS 17 caps for England’s youth sides from Under 15 to Under 19 level, scoring 12 times.

■ THE 18-year-old made his Leeds debut by playing 71 minutes in the Carabao Cup defeat at Wolves in November, and marked his second appearance for the club with yesterday’s dramatic late leveller.

■ HIS aunt is the actress Louise Lombard, known for roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and 1990s BBC drama The House of Eliott.
