■ LEEDS are looking to push through a £26m deal for Hoffenheim striker Georginio Rutter. The 20-year-old has been pulled out of training and will miss the German club’s friendly against Servette today as talks continue. Leeds have also considered Coventry’s Victor Gyokeres and Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan should negotiations falter. They have been offered the chance to sign Angers’ Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi but are prioritising a striker. SWANSEA CITY are keen to sign Leeds striker Joe Gelhardt on loan.

■ CHELSEA have held further talks over a move for Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, 25.

■ NEWCASTLE forward Garang Kuol is poised to join Hearts on loan. The 18-year-old Australia international also had interest from Reading.

■ SOUTHAMPTON have seen an £8.8m bid rejected for Carlos Alcaraz but remain in negotiations with Racing Club. The Saints have had a £15m bid rejected by Lorient for striker Terem Moffi.
