WHEN Sir Keir Starmer states he will not revert to Labour’s normal tactic of tax and spend, we know he will resort to the party’s only other tactic of borrow and spend.

With £1 in every £7 the Government gets in tax income being used to pay the interest on the national debt, how will yet more astronomical levels of borrowing improve our situation?

All it will achieve is to take yet more billions from funding public services, the NHS and education.
