midfielder Alfie McCalmont, 22, is joining Carlisle United on loan.

■ NOTTINGHAM FOREST are in talks to sign Palmeiras holding midfielder Danilo for £18m plus add-ons. The 21-year-old has also attracted attention from Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

■ WEST HAM have made a new approach for Sevilla and Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri. The Hammers have discussed an initial loan but the 25-year-old has indicated he is not ready to leave Spain. West Ham have also asked about Lorient’s Terem Moffi, 23, but are unable to meet his £25m asking price. Southampto­n have had a bid rejected for Moffi, who also has interest from Everton.

■ SOUTHAMPTO­N have agreed a £12.3m fee with Racing Club for midfielder Carlos Alcaraz, 20, who will arrive for a medical today. The deal includes a 15 per cent sell-on clause. Alcaraz will sign a contract until 2027. Southampto­n striker Dan Nlundulu has joined Bolton on loan.

■ TOTTENHAM have stepped up their interest in Brighton forward Leandro Trossard, 28, with further talks likely at the end of this month. Trossard’s deal expires at the end of the season but Brighton have an option to extend it for another year. Spurs are maintainin­g contact with Sporting Lisbon over Pedro Porro and may allow wing back Djed Spence out on loan.

■ ASTON VILLA are finalising the £12m signing of left back Alex Moreno from Real Betis. Villa defender Kortney Hause may cancel his loan spell at Watford as he starts a rehabilita­tion programme on a knee injury.

■ BURNLEY have enquired about Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo, 23. He is valued around £12m and has also had interest from Bournemout­h.

■ ARSENAL midfielder Miguel Azeez, 20, is in talks over a loan to Wigan Athletic.
