BET365 boss Denise Coates may have been paid an obscene £213.4 million in a year, but she hasn’t earned it. She has control of the business and can set her own pay.

Her millions have been amassed as a consequence of misery for some punters. Bet365 may not be the worst gambling firm, but its advertising is everywhere. The Government should be ashamed of its dereliction of duty in controlling gambling companies.
