IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF KILLERS, 10PM, CH4

WITH approaching two decades of experience playing forensic pathologist Nikki Alexander in Silent Witness, Emilia Fox can claim to have a special insight into the workings of murder investigations, and tonight, the actress returns with a new, second series reviewing unsolved cases. Enthusiastic amateur Emilia is joined this time round by not one, but two renowned criminologists, as she welcomes former senior detective Dr Graham Hill to the incident room, along with the returning Professor David Wilson (pictured with Fox). Their first case takes them to Templeton Woods near Dundee, where the body of 18-year-old Carol Lannen was found on a frosty spring night in 1979. Less than 12 months later, another woman, Elizabeth McCabe, 20, was found dead within 150 yards of the same spot. Both young women had been strangled. Was there a serial killer at large, or was it a grisly coincidence? The full series will be available to stream or download on All 4 after this opening episode has aired.
