I LIVED close to my school and went home for lunch. One day, I told Mum I’d been learning about Aristotle that morning and had to write an essay about him.

When I arrived back home after school, Mum said: ‘I’ve been looking through your encyclopaedias this afternoon and can’t find anything about Harry Stockwell anywhere.’ It became a family joke.
