Duke’s popularity falls to all-time low

-

PRINCE Harry’s popularity has dropped to an alltime low following the fallout surrounding his memoir, a survey revealed yesterday.

A YouGov poll found almost seven in ten people ( 8 per cent) held a negative view of the Duke of Sussex, with less than a quarter seeing him in a positive light. He recorded his lowest-ever favourability rating of minus 44 – down from minus 38 last week.

Harry and wife Meghan fared even worse among older Britons, who were more likely to hold a ‘very negative’ view of the couple than they were of scandal-hit Prince Andrew. Among over- 5s, 0 per cent said they held a ‘very negative’ view of Andrew but 9 per cent held the same view of Meghan and 73 per cent of Harry.

Two-fifths (41 per cent) said they believed Harry’s motivation for releasing Spare was to make money, while only one in five (21 per cent) thought he wanted to tell ‘his side of the story’.

A GB News poll found the public had an overwhelmingly negative view of Harry. Asked for the word that first came to mind about the duke, the most common included ‘idiot’, ‘spoilt’, ‘brat’ and ‘stupid’.
