Jurgen has earned the right to turn this round

WHATEVER happens, Jurgen Klopp deserves time. Even if Liverpool lose to Chelsea this Saturday. Even if they miss out on the Champions League. Even if they do not make it into the Europa League. Even if they finish ninth this season. Klopp has earned the chance to turn this team around, and anyone turning on this manager should remember what he has done for this club. There is no denying Liverpool look a shadow of the side they once were. They have gone from heavy metal to soft rock, from gegenpressing to regressing. But I’m confident Klopp (left) can get them back to their bloodand-thunder ways, if backed. This is not Liverpool’s first blip. They were eighth in the Premier League in March 2021 after losing six of their last seven. Yet they went on to finish third. I don’t know where they will end up this term. The only thing consistent about their season is their inconsistency. But it would feel wrong to see someone else in charge of Liverpool.
