TV star’s first baby with Strictly love
TV presenter Stacey Dooley spoke of her joy yesterday as she revealed she had given birth to her first child, a girl called Minnie.
Equally overjoyed was father Kevin Clifton, the former Strictly Come Dancing dancer who became Ms Dooley’s romantic partner after they won the 201 series of the ballroom competition.
Ms Dooley, 35, shared a picture of an envelope addressed to ‘Minnie’s parents’ with the words: ‘Our daughter is here. My little masterpiece! I’m COMPLETELY OBSESSED. Love you Minnie, Love you Kev x’ First-time dad Clifton, 40, shared the same image and added: ‘The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. So proud of u. Love u Minnie, Love u Stace x’
The couple announced the pregnancy in August, sharing a picture of Dooley cradling her baby bump.
Clifton has three ex-wives, including Strictly dancer Karen Hauer. They parted a year before he met Ms Dooley,
but he was called a ‘love rat’ by the TV journalist’s ex, personal trainer Sam Tucknott, who said she had dumped him for Clifton.
Other Strictly stars who found love on the dancefloor include Countdown’s Rachel Riley, who teamed up with Pasha Kovalev in 2013. They married in 2019.
Boxer Joe Calzaghe dated Kristina Rihanoff for four years after they appeared in the 2009 series, and in 2019 Gemma Atkinson had a baby with her partner from the 2017 show, Gorka Marquez.
