Horror crash kills mother and girl, 4, on way to nursery

- By Chris Brooke

A MOTHER and her four-yearold daughter were killed when a car mounted the pavement as they walked to nursery.

Justyne Hulboj, 27, and Lena Czepczor suffered fatal injuries on Monday when a white Audi TT RS ploughed into them before smashing into the wall of a Jaguar dealership.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. The girl was reported to have been hurled 70ft by the force of the crash.

Three people were arrested in connection with the incident on Scott Hall Road in Leeds, police said.

Witnesses said the front of the Audi was totally destroyed.

Police said it had been travelling in convoy with a grey BMW 135i before the crash and have appealed to anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward.

Two men, aged 26 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of two offences of causing death by dangerous driving. Both remained in custody last night.

A 65- year- old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and released on bail.

Detective inspector Paul Conroy, of West Yorkshire Police, said: ‘This is an absolutely tragic incident, and we are working to support the family of the woman and child involved.

‘We have already spoken to a number of witnesses but are keen to speak to anyone else who has witnessed the collision itself or the events leading up to it.’ Floral tributes have been left at the scene.

One included a note saying: ‘Yesterday heaven gained two angels. Two beautiful souls taken so tragically. May you both fly free in eternal love.

‘You will both be missed. RIP Sleep tight x.’ A toy was left with a tribute which read: ‘Thinking of all the family at this sad time.’
