GALLAGHER NOT KEEN ON ANY MOVE AWAY FROM POTTER’S BLUES

ENGLAND midfielder Conor Gallagher has no desire to leave Chelsea despite enquiries from Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Everton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle. Gallagher (right) is determined to stay while he continues to be selected by Graham Potter.

■ SOUTHAMPTON are closing in on an £18million permanent deal for Villarreal forward Nicolas Jackson after initially asking for the 21-year-old on loan with an option to buy. Southampton are also keen to add a right back with LUTON’S James Bree one target. TOTTENHAM’S Djed Spence is another option to have been discussed though he is also wanted by Lyon. The French side are expecting offers for their right back Malo Gusto, 19, who has attracted attention from Chelsea among others. Tottenham held talks with Sporting Lisbon on Monday regarding a deal for Pedro Porro.

A move is still far from being agreed, but more talks are planned later this week.

■ ARSENAL and FULHAM are continuing talks over a deal for defender Cedric Soares. Fulham hope to have an agreement for the 31-year-old by the end of the week.

■ WOLVES face a late threat from Lyon in their bid to sign Joao Gomes from Flamengo for £15m. Lyon had offered £2.5m more, though the midfielder was in London last night with his agent. Wolves have agreed the £4.5m signing of Pablo Sarabia from Paris SaintGermain who has signed a two-and-a-half year contract.

■ LYON striker Moussa Dembele, a free agent this summer, has been offered to EVERTON. The Goodison club and WEST HAM have also asked about Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata. The striker, understood to prefer a move to London, also has interest from Nottingham Forest, and is valued at £25m.

■ RANGERS are in discussions to sign NORWICH midfielder Todd Cantwell and hope to add SWANSEA winger Morgan Whittaker, too.

■ BARCELONA continue to court MANCHESTER CITY midfielder Ilkay Gundogan over a summer transfer. CITY are monitoring NAPOLI winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. ASTON VILLA defender Frederic Guilbert, 28, has completed his move to RC Strasbourg.
