Burden on public sector

-

WHERE is the money going to come from to pay the public sector’s ever increasing pay demands?

Private sector pay isn’t increasing at the same rate, but they are the workers who will have to pay the inflated cost of living and taxes to cover wage increases to the people holding the country to ransom.

CAROL FORD, Worthing, W. Sussex. The public sector should recognise just how their pay increases would be funded.

They are partly covered by government borrowing, with the majority of the tab being picked up by private sector workers. These are the people who already pay for public sector wages, taxes and pensions.

how can the economy grow if workers have to fund unreasonable politically motivated demands?

ALAN STACKMAN, Calne, Wilts.
