Don’t let Putin win

-

WITh their ground forces locked in a slow-moving, highattrition battle, the Russians are firing missiles into Ukraine in the hope that the civilian population will pressure their government to capitulate.

A Russian victory is unthinkable because Putin will then find a reason to invade Moldova followed by the Baltic states, Finland and Poland.

Where would Russia stop — could Britain be next?

nato countries are fearful of supplying weapons that will escalate the war, but it is essential to the West that Ukraine survives with its pre-2014 borders restored.

This will demonstrate to Russia that salami slicing european territory will not be tolerated.

We are in danger of becoming desensitised to the heavy price that the Ukrainian people are paying.

The free countries of europe should be supplying the most modern weapons to Ukraine to shorten this tragic war.

CHRIS KING, Chichester, W. Sussex. IF We in the free world allow Putin to win this war, then who will be targeted next? We can’t just stand back and let him walk in.

Yes, we are all suffering due to one man’s ego, but to let him win would mean an even bigger price to pay.
