Microsoft jobs brush off

-

THE boss of tech giant Microsoft brushed off jobs pain facing thousands as he held court in Davos over the sector’s future.

Satya Nadella said ‘not right now’ when asked about the cuts after a session of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The company, best known for its Windows software and Xbox games consoles, said 10,000 jobs were being axed.

The announcement was saved until after a session of the forum when Nadella was quizzed by WEF boss Klaus Schwab.

Schwab did not ask specifically about the cuts. But Nadella, paid £44m last year, talked about the wider downturn.
