Genghis Khan’t run a whelk stall

-

AND speaking of tinpot dictators (see Edinburgh, left) London’s Labour mayor Genghis Khan seems hell- bent on banning freedom of movement and bankrupting businesses big and small.

He’s piling up charges on motorists with an extended ULEZ low emissions zone to add to the congestion charge and extortionate parking fees and fines. At the same time, he’s whacking up Tube and bus fares and cutting travel concessions for pensioners.

Finally, outer boroughs are fighting back and refusing to install Khan’s Big Brother- style roadside cameras. But Genghis is pressing ahead regardless, despite alleged ‘democratic consultations’ rejecting the idea.

I’m always reminded that more people in London voted Leave than voted for Khan, a fanatical Remainer who has spent his entire term trying to overturn the referendum result.

The Tories might be a complete shambles right now, but if you want to know what a future Labour Britain would be like, look no further than Genghis Khan’s whelk stall London.
