Arteta was over the top...he must control his emotions

I WONDER if the officials have had a meeting about Mikel Arteta’s touchline behaviour and are now on to him.

He was booked here after running up the line trying to influence Anthony Taylor by indicating that Luke Shaw had committed four fouls. He needs to control himself. Shaw’s foul on Bukayo Saka was not a booking and Arteta’s reaction was way over the top.

His behaviour against Newcastle was the same, and there was a lot of coverage in the wake of that. I know fans like to see the manager showing passion, but there is a line you should not cross. If players see Arteta losing it like that, they can get sucked in. Arsenal are having a brilliant season but it’s important players know that their manager is in control of his emotions, because they will feed off that.
