PRINCESS Eugenie is expecting her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank.

The couple revealed the news yesterday in an Instagram post, right, showing their son August, who will turn two next month, kissing his mother’s tummy.

‘We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,’ wrote Eugenie, 32.

Her mother Sarah, Duchess of York, posted congratulations saying it was ‘Granny heaven’.

There was no official comment from Eugenie’s father, Prince Andrew, who was forced to relinquish any official royal role over the Epstein scandal.

Buckingham Palace issued a short statement, saying: ‘Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer.

‘The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother.’

The news comes after Eugenie gave a rare interview to Reuters news agency in which she revealed she is already teaching August to be a climate change activist and has tried to stop using plastic at home.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, she said becoming a mother had ‘totally changed’ her outlook.

She said: ‘My son’s going to be an activist from two years old, which is in a couple of days.

‘Everything is for them, right? Every decision we now make has to be about how August is going to be able to live his life.

‘At home we have no plastic – we try to as much as possible have no plastic – and I’m trying to teach him that.’

The princess is a director at international art gallery Hauser & Wirth. She and Mr Brooksbank, 36, recently moved to Portugal after he started a job with a developer of luxury golf resorts. They married in October 2018 and their second child will be 13th in line to throne.
