Petty politics
WILL there ever be a time when our supposedly welleducated MPs stop arguing about seatbelts, cake, transgender issues and who has paid what tax?
They need to put their heads together to try to save this country from bankruptcy, the collapse of the NHS, Vladimir Putin’s plan for world domination, gun crime and all the other things the people who elected them consider to be most important.
Surely it can’t be too much to ask for them to agree with each other sometimes.
JO WAITE, Wincanton, Somerset. WHY do politicians seem to think their main job is endlessly to pick over each other’s misdemeanours, instead of steering this country out of the terrible mess they have put us in?
A plague on all their houses until they grow up and start working assiduously for the people they represent. STEVE FORSHAW, Kettering, Northants.
