LORd LuCAN’S creditors are being paid in full on the basis that the missing earl is still alive. Bankruptcy trustee dennis Gilson said: ‘Because nobody can prove that Lord Lucan is dead, I have been able to get money. Four years ago, Lord Lucan disappeared the day after his children’s nanny was battered to death at the family’s Belgravia home and a warrant was issued for his arrest on a murder charge.’

SIR JOHN MILLS ( 1908- 2005). The Norfolk-born actor, a former toilet paper salesman, won an Oscar for Ryan’s daughter. The Australian ‘ Crocodile Hunter’ made his name getting dangerously close to hazardous animals. The conservationist, who donated $1 million of his own money to help save the northern hairy-nosed wombat, took his bride Terri on a crocodile-trapping honeymoon. He died, aged 44, after being stabbed by a stingray while filming a documentary.
