THE summer heat’s rising at Dalby and Cropton forests in Yorkshire and, as the mercury climbs to a record-breaking 38 degrees, bumble bees take shelter and beavers cool off in shaded pools. We also follow efforts to save the turtle dove (pictured) from the brink of extinction — this elegant bird, synonymous with love and loss, is being monitored as it returns to British shores after its long journey from Africa.
