How Mum made a very clean getaway

My MothER had various cleaning jobs until way into her 70s. one of these was in a local bank. one day she was awake early and decided to clean the bank — this was at 4 o’clock in the morning. the police patrol, seeing a light on inside, thought a robbery was in progress. they jumped out of their car and began banging on the door, yelling at the people inside to come out. the only problem was that my mother was deaf. After about a quarter of an hour she noticed the blue lights of the police car and unlocked the door. the officers, obviously expecting a gang of thugs, were greeted by this little old lady asking what was up.
