Head over heels for Kate!
ALL eyes should have been on the magnificent soldiers on parade.
But Thomas Lucas, nine, stole the show with an impromptu backflip for the Princess of Wales yesterday.
Kate, 41, was accompanying Prince William on St David’s Day on his first visit as Colonel of the Regiment to the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards at their Windsor barracks. He took over the role from his father in December. The prince and princess met many of the families of the Guardsmen, as well as Australian troops based in the UK to help train Ukrainian soldiers.
It was then that Thomas, son of Sergeant Gareth Lucas, took the chance to show off his athletic skills.
Afterwards, Kate – wearing a red Alexander McQueen coat – told Thomas his backflip had been ‘extraordinary’ and she had been ‘super impressed’. Thomas told her he was a fan of parkour, a form of ‘free running’ that involves vaulting, jumping and climbing.
