IT’S slightly strange seeing Nick Knowles (pictured) outside of his usual TV comfort zone — on building sites in DIY shows. He’s also a pretty excitable sort — but then, who wouldn’t be on adventures such as this one? ‘Woo-hoo-hoo’ sums it up nicely as he takes in the views of the Grand Canyon, his destination for thisis two-twoparter (concluding tomorrow). He’s right at home in this rugged, untamed landscape, and has a whale of a time riding zip lines and kayaks and sitting beside camp fires. He’s not there just to have fun, though, but to share with us plenty of fascinating facts about the history, culture and ecology of this iconic part of North America.
