Bangers go bang
I WILL know the UK is finally free from eU regulations the
first time I fry a good old British banger and the skin splits, so the contents bulge out and go crispy. Anyone else remember those?
I can buy Lincolnshire sausages here in Spain, which I love, but they don’t split when fried because the filling has to meet eU standards — more meat needed and less bread, as I recall, was the complaint when we joined the Common Market.
