SKY SPORTS STRIKE DEAL FOR FIRST WOMEN’S IPL

SKY SPORTS have bought the live TV rights for India’s inaugural Women’s Premier League in another significan­t breakthrou­gh for the sport. The five-team tournament begins on Saturday with a clash between the Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians, with England’s Sophia Dunkley, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Issy Wong set to feature in the opening game. Sky will televise all 22 matches, from Saturday to the final on March 26.
