Don’t fear Keir, Sunak tells his MPs

RISHI Sunak rallied Tory MPs at an away day in Windsor yesterday, telling them the party could still win the next election.

Looking to embolden his colleagues despite being behind in the polls, the Prime Minister reportedly said there was ‘no huge enthusiasm’ for Sir Keir Starmer among voters – contrasting him with exLabour PM Tony Blair. One MP said they were given a ‘very insightful’ polling presentation showing the Tories could still win.

The away day was held at Fairmont Windsor Park in Berkshire, the same hotel where Mr Sunak struck his new Brexit deal.
