LESS BAZBALL, MORE BASEBALL!
HARRY BROOK has ditched Bazball for baseball, and runs for home runs, with a Stateside stop-off on his return from England’s tour of New Zealand.
Brook, 24, made Test history last month by scoring more runs (809) across his first nine innings than any other player, hitting 20 sixes along the way. And as part of a new role with Major League Baseball Europe, he will test his big-hitting prowess at a St Louis Cardinals camp in Florida this weekend.
He said: ‘I’m intrigued to see how different it is from cricket and what similarities there are — will a home run feel as good as hitting a six? ‘I’m also excited to learn how other professional sportspeople go about their game and see if there are any transferable skills.’
