TV DO WORLD CUP ON THE CHEAP

- @MattHughesDM

The BBC and ITV are planning to cover the women’s World Cup on the cheap after finally agreeing a joint deal with FIFA to show all 64 of this summer’s matches.

In stark contrast to the money spent on the men’s World Cup last year, which saw more than 100 staff in Qatar, both broadcasters are planning to base their coverage of the tournament at studios in england. only small reporting teams will be sent to the tournament in Australia and new Zealand.
