McLAREN’S hopes of finally emerging from the midfield got off to the worst possible start in Sakhir. Mechanical problems for debutant Oscar Piastri made him the first retirement before Lando Norris’ own car issues saw him drop to the back and well out of contention on a highly frustrating weekend for the Woking team.
