BRATTY BRUNO GOES MISSING
A MANCHESTER UNITED captain on Merseyside has the responsibility to carry the fight and lead by example but Bruno Fernandes did nothing of the sort. His performance was an affront to what was required of him, the low point being when he theatrically feigned that he had been struck in the face. He looked to give up as Liverpool’s goals went in and while he did a brief TV interview immediately afterwards, he refused to take any more questions as he scuttled for the team bus. Perhaps Fernandes was sulking about where he was deployed on the field. Quite why Erik ten Hag chose to put him on Trent Alexander-Arnold, rather than challenge the England right back with Marcus Rashford’s pace, was a mystery.
