Florence follows the fashion for sheer gear
THIS is a bold outfit to wear anywhere – let alone in a roomful of Parisienne fashionistas.
But Florence Pugh gave the cameras a fierce look as she showed off a sheer sequined skirt – revealing her white thong – at Valentino’s Paris Fashion Week show.
The British actress, 27, completed the look with a cropped grey jumper featuring a bejewelled collar, and a sparkling handbag all by Valentino – not forgetting her signature nose ring.
She took up her place on the front row alongside Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz, who were in the capital for his mother Victoria’s showcase two days earlier.
Also in attendance were US actress Emma Roberts, US singer Nick Jonas and his Indian actress wife Priyanka Chopra.
Actress Ellie Bamber and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also dared to go sheer in see-through dresses at Yves Saint Laurent’s show in Paris last week.
And in November, supermodel Kate Moss wore a sheer green hooded dress to the WSJ magazine’s Innovator Awards in New York, while daughter Lila Moss, 20, wore a see-through patterned black maxi dress to her 19th birthday bash in Mayfair in 2021.
Ms Pugh, who has starred in Midsommar and The Wonder, previously lambasted those who ‘aggressively’ criticised her body after she wore a sheer pink Valentino dress to a fashion show in July without a bra.
She wrote online at the time: ‘It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers, what’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be.’
