FlopMaster! New Radio 2 quiz isn’t a hit
RADIO 2 is facing a backlash over the new quiz it launched yesterday to replace Ken Bruce’s PopMaster.
Listeners were less than impressed with Ten To The Top, with one saying: ‘What is this garbage on Radio 2? No point in having a quiz which is like a Poundland PopMaster.’ Another complained: ‘It is a nightmare to follow and impossible to play at home.’
A fellow listener added: ‘What’s this quiz on Radio 2? Had to switch it off.’ Bruce, 72, who presented his last show on the BBC last Friday, owns the rights to PopMaster and is taking it to his new role at Greatest Hits Radio.
Gary Davies, 65, launched Ten To The Top with Bruce’s permanent replacement Vernon Kay, 48, starting in May.
