Call the skirt guard

LIKE many other readers, I am a fan of Call The Midwife. However, when I see the midwives cycling along with their cloaks and skirts billowing out dangerously behind them, I remember skirt guards.

These pieces of plastic fitted over the rear wheel of a bicycle to prevent skirts from getting caught in the spokes and causing an accident.
