BLACKPOOL FAN DIES AFTER PUB BRAWL

A BLACKPOOL supporter died yesterday after suffering fatal head injuries in a violent confrontation with Burnley fans on Saturday. The Championship club announced Tony Johnson, 55, had ‘tragically lost his life’ before they held a memorial service for the lifelong fan at Bloomfield Road. Lancashire Police arrested a 33-year-old man from Burnley on suspicion of wounding and he has been bailed until June.
