Failed by the NHS

I WAS told I needed life- saving surgery, but the NHS could not even give me a date to see a consultant.

As for having the operation, possibly I would have died before I even joined the waiting list.

To ensure I survived, I decided to pay £14,000 for private treatment out of my savings, despite contributing to the system for 40 years.

What has happened to this country? Looking at the Government and Opposition, I can’t see anyone who fills me with confidence.
