Walker in police probe

CHESHIRE POLICE are investigating an allegation that Manchester City’s Kyle Walker indecently exposed himself at a bar earlier this week. Walker, 32, given two days off after City beat Newcastle last weekend, was drinking with friends in Wilmslow on Sunday afternoon. He is claimed to have flashed in front of two women, something the player is understood to contest.

A police statement read: ‘On Wednesday 8 March, Cheshire Police were made aware of a video circulating on social media in relation to an indecent exposure which allegedly occurred in the Wilmslow area. ‘Enquiries in relation to the incident are in the early stages and no arrests have been made.’

City deem the issue a private matter and stressed that Walker reported for Tuesday’s training session on time and that he had broken no club rules.

The full back — married and father to four children — is now preparing for City’s vital trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday. Sources have indicated that those close to the matter are ascertaining how CCTV footage of the incident ended up with a national newspaper. Walker was forced to apologise for hosting a sex party with two escorts at his house during the first coronavirus lockdown in March 2020.
