A headscarf for Kate as Meg steps out in shades
THEY were 5,000 miles apart but both the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex dressed for the occasion.
Kate wore a headscarf on a visit to a Muslim centre in west London, while Meghan beamed in shades at a brunch in west Hollywood.
The princess was at the centre in Hayes with Prince William to thank members of the public for their record-breaking fundraising efforts to help earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.
The couple tried their hand at making origami cranes – a symbol of hope – with schoolgirls and also listened to harrowing stories of aid workers who have recently returned from the crisis zone.
Lead fundraiser Zia Rehman told them that the centre had raised £30,000 in a matter of days.
Kate said: ‘It shows the strength of the community when you are coming together and supporting each other.’
Meanwhile on Wednesday, Meghan was with friends at Mexican restaurant Gracias Madre wearing a pair of £520 backless Valentino shoes and carrying a £6,000 Chanel bag.
