Tiger Woods is accused of sex abuse by ex-girlfriend
TIGER Woods’ ex-girlfriend claims he sexually abused her, bombshell court papers revealed yesterday.
Erica Herman, 39, makes the startling allegation in a lawsuit in which she is trying to void a non- disclosure agreement she claims she was forced to sign.
She does not detail the alleged abuse, just ticking the ‘yes’ box under the question ‘Does this case involve allegations of sexual abuse?’
In a related suit, Miss Herman has claimed the golfer’s staff used ‘trickery’ to get her to go on holiday – allowing her to be locked out of the Florida mansion they shared.
She says she has not been allowed back in and is demanding £25million for breach of contract.
Miss Herman also alleges that
Woods’ aides removed £33,000 of her cash from the home and made ‘scurrilous and defamatory allegations’ about how she got the money.
The property claim against Woods, 47, was filed in October and included a copy of the non-disclosure agreement she says she was forced to sign when she began dating him six years ago. According to the legal papers, Woods broke things off last October.
Miss Herman claims the NDA should be voided because of a 2021 law called the ‘Speak Out Act’ that makes such agreements invalid when there are claims of sexual abuse.
Miss Herman’s claims about the home she shared with Woods in Hobe Sound, and where he lives with his two children, give fresh insight into the story behind the end of their rela
tionship. She sued the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust, which owns the property, under trust law.
The complaint says she provided ‘valuable services’ at Woods’ request as part of an ‘oral tenancy agreement’. The lawsuit states: ‘All expenses that related to (Herman’s) residency were fully paid by the defendant or its privvies.
‘This agreement was fully performed for the six-year period prior to the events giving rise to this lawsuit.
‘The duties that were performed by the plaintiff were extensive and of an extraordinary nature in light of the overall circumstances and environment in which she lived.’
Miss Herman claims she deserves more than £25million because of the ‘substantial monthly rental value’ of the home. Woods has filed a motion asking for arbitration.
He has not yet given a response to Miss Herman’s latest filing trying to overturn the NDA. Woods was married to Elin Nordegren, 43, but they divorced over his affairs in 2010.
In 2021 he was seriously injured in a high-speed car crash in California.
Lawyers for Miss Herman and Woods did not respond to requests for comment last night.
