Man is held over online video of discovery of Nicola’s body

A MAN has been arrested over video footage posted online of the discovery of Nicola Bulley’s body.

The 34-year-old from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, was held on suspicion of malicious communications offences as well as perverting the course of justice. The arrest relates to footage taken on the banks of the Wyre in Lancashire from inside a cordon on February 19.

The body of Ms Bulley, who had vanished on January 27, was found among reeds. The man was arrested on Wednesday

morning by officers from Lancashire Constabulary with assistance from West Mercia’s force. He has since been released on bail with conditions.

‘We hope this arrest provides reassurance that we take concerns seriously and will act on them,’ police said.

A number of online ‘influencers’ and social media ‘detectives’ had joined the hunt in St Michael’s on Wyre for the missing 45-year-old mother of two.
