WHAT will be the theme of Oscars 2023? One thing’s for certain: there will be a return to unfettered partying. Everyone is hosting and going out, including Jay-Z and Beyonce putting on a thrash, plus Madonna, Vanity Fair and the rest.

Elvis actor Austin Butler and his director Baz Luhrmann are gaining renown as a double-headed party animal — and everyone in town wants to enjoy the moment with them.

Meanwhile, wise observers suggest that this will be the year when oldies and sentimental favourites triumph.

Among the comeback ‘ kids’ are Brendan Fraser, hot favourite for best actor; and Ke Huy Quan, who gave up acting because there were no roles for him, favourite for best supporting actor.

Michelle Yeoh is 60, Jamie Lee Curtis 64 and many believe those ladies will come away with a little golden man to crown two long careers.

Some also fancy that director Steven Spielberg, 76, might just edge ‘the Daniels’ for Everything Everywhere All At Once, too, although that would be an upset.
