What’s in a name?

-

MANY seem to be in a muddle over religion, denomination, christening and naming ceremonies.

Harry and Meghan’s daughter Princess Lilibet Diana was christened by John Taylor, the Episcopal Bishop of Los Angeles.

She’s been welcomed into the Christian Church, not the Episcopalian, Anglican, Roman Catholic or Methodist Church.

Christian is the faith, the other names are denominations.

I am surprised Harry and Meghan didn’t go for a naming ceremony, which can be performed by anyone, so Lilibet could have chosen a religion for herself when she’s older.
