I AGREE that a Cabinet of Mail writers would make a much better job of running the country (Letters).

I’d add Richard Littlejohn as Levelling-up Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister.

Gary could provide the civil servants with his inimitable illustrations of the people who are actually working in the country: engineers, baristas, caterers, food producers, shop assistants, garage attendants and tradespeople.

They don’t have the choice of working from home and are the ones keeping Britain running every day.
