Klopp still keen to strengthen midfield
JURGEN KLOPP is committed to strengthening Liverpool’s midfield this summer despite the progress of Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic.
Elliott produced his best outing of the season in the 7-0 rout of Manchester United, while Bajcetic has made huge strides since Christmas and signed a new deal in January. Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham is the prime target and Chelsea’s Mason Mount also has admirers at Anfield.
‘We know exactly what we need,’ said Klopp. ‘That didn’t change. I wouldn’t say when we started our planning in September, October that Stefan was necessarily involved in all of these talks but of course he is now. It would be crazy if not. That’s how it always was and always will be.’
