ARSENAL LET OFF FOR MASS CELEBRATION
ARSENAL have avoided punishment for their wild celebrations against Bournemouth last week, after the FA decided not to take action against the Premier League leaders.
The FA looked into the aftermath of Reiss Nelson’s stoppage-time winner, when staff and substitutes ran on to the pitch to mob the goalscorer. Arsenal have already been fined three times in 2023 over the conduct of their players.
But after reviewing referee Chris Kavanagh’s report, the authorities decided not to sanction Mikel Arteta’s side this time. Nelson’s 97th-minute goal completed an incredible comeback that restored Arsenal’s five-point lead over Manchester City ahead of their trip to Fulham tomorrow.
